Print journalism is one of the channels of disseminating information which the Blueprint newspaper has been performing creditably in the last 10 years in Nigeria. The publisher of Blueprint, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, the Kakakin Nupe, has over the years demonstrated a high sense of patriotism as the newspaper is reputed for professionalism, responsive journalism and the promotion of national unity and development. In just 10 years, Blueprint seems to have been in existence for centuries given its high visibility, acceptability and massive readership not just in Nigeria but also across the world. This, no doubt, is attributed to Mohammed Idris Malagi’s leadership ingenuity in steering the affairs of the company on the pedestal of team work, innovation, devotion and good ethical practices.

Many newspapers, particularly in Nigeria, have died a natural death while others are dead on arrival. This is consequent on many factors including poor leadership, unprofessionalism, unfavourable economic environment, among others. However, Blueprint newspaper has survived all the odds and is waxing stronger 10 after, owing principally to the leadership acumen of Idris Malagi; the newspaper is one of the leading dailies in Nigeria reputable for its reportage, especially in community journalism that is grossly lacking in this part of the globe. Against all odds, the Blueprint newspaper is making waves and breaking barriers.

The Blueprint Newspapers Limited recently held its10th Anniversary/Impact Series & Awards at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja where it bestowed awards on some distinguished Nigerians including 10 governors, the Senate President Ahmad Lawan, ministers, and many public officers.  The event was well attended by the crème-dele-crème of society which further gives credence to the high leadership qualities and the carrying-capacity of the Kakakin Nupe’s quiet achievements and philanthropist gestures in Nigeria – indeed, the giant strides of Idris Malagi cannot be overemphasised. The recent grant of a licence for the establishment of a television station to the Blueprint conglomerate by the federal government is another plus for the man who the cap truly fits come 2023, in sha Allah, in Niger state.

These monumental achievements did not come to many as a surprise because it is a clear that Mohammed Idris actually is the servant of the people based on the many lives he has impacted positively in the area of job creation as the Chairman, Bifocal Group of Companies, publisher, Blueprint newspapers and owner, WEE FM Abuja; his immense contributions to the overall development of Nupe Kingdom, Niger state and, indeed, Nigeria at large.

Indeed, life being a journey, success has brought the Kakakin many miles ahead of many people. Even his admirers have attested to the fact that, he deserves the number one seat in Niger state as the executive governor of our dear state. We are all with you for your quest to make Niger state economically viable. The future and the economic stability of Niger state is a decision and that decision starts now. It is well said that when you hope for the best, the best comes and to them who await failure, failure comes to their hope but as for Mohammed Idris, he hoped for success, worked for it without sitting back and it came. Congratulations for a well-deserved success my Mentor Sir!

Idris, who is also the Chairman of WE FM, Abuja, a leading radio station and Bifocal Communication Limited, a reputable public relations and communication firm, situated in Abuja, expressed the satisfaction that the Blueprint newspapers has contributed to useful conversations towards a more democratic and egalitarian Nigerian society. Ideas rule the world. The voice of the people is the voice of the Almighty Allah (SWT), Mohammed Idris has the wisdom and strength to grow greater every day. Well done! We all look up to you with respect and admiration. Your hard work has earned you this success, so enjoy every bit of it. Congratulations on this milestone in the business of professional journalism!

No wonder, many groups in Niger state are calling on the media magnet to throw his hat into the political contest come 2023 for the number one seat in the state. We the youths in Niger state are indeed proud to be associated with Mohammed Idris Malagi because, the Kakakin Nupe deserves more, considering his numerous philanthropic gestures and developmental strides in the state and even beyond as the recent awards given to some notable Nigerians and for the gracious approval for the establishment of TV station, I say kudo to the man of the people.

It is obvious that Mohammed Idris deserves greater responsibilities in the political arena of this country, considering the milestone he has attained in the media industry within a short period of time. Today, he is an employer, creating over 30,000 direct and indirect jobs and for this, I, Comrade Musa Abubakar, Chairman, Kharmatee Global Resources Ltd heartily say a big congratulations Sir.

Judging by the pedigree of Mohammed Idris, one can say, without fear of contradiction, that the media guru, who is also the secretary of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN), possesses the qualities of a good leader. He combines exceptional intellect and vision with hard work and perseverance to achieve set goals. He has what it takes to be a true servant leader in this country. The publisher has also shown purposeful leadership qualities in his dealings with people. The Kakaki believes in helping people from diverse backgrounds, irrespective of tribal and religious leanings. He is also a philanthropist based on the palliatives he distributed during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

This piece is compelled by the candour, patriotism and passion of the Blueprint newspapers publisher and his tremendous contributions to the development of the Nupe Kingdom, Niger state and the country as a whole. He is, therefore, expected to bring his doggedness, forthrightness, candour and industry to our dear Niger state and, indeed, Nigeria as a whole.

As a courageous professional, technocrat, and anti-corruption crusader, Mohammed Idris will initiate policies and programmes aimed at the positive transformation of Niger state. He will also bring the needed succour to the citizenry if given the required political support by all and sundry come 2023, God willing.

Therefore, I, on behalf of my family, members of the board of directors and staff of Kharmatee Global Resources, heartily congratulate you, Mohammed Idris Malagi, for the successes and milestones of immense hard work, sincerity, honesty and devotion to the service of humanity.  We pray for Allah’s continued protection and guidance on you Sir.Alhaji Mai Baban Ajihu, Chairman, Kharmatee Global Resources Ltd, writes from Malagi, Niger state.
