The General Overseer of Christ Royal Family Int’l Church, BishopTom Samson, has said if the federal government does not grant the 5 – point demand of #EndSARS protesters before the first quarter of 2021, he would join them to carry placards.
Bishop Samson was speaking with journalists at the Ikeja branch of his church at the weekend in preparation for the next convention of the church and his 55th birthday.
Speaking on the state of the nation, he said; “The youth of Nigeria have made their point through the #EndSARS protest and their voices have been heard loud and clear. They need to now be patient and wait for the government to meet those demands.
“The protest is the hand of God. The youth have really done well. Nigeria cannot remain the same again after this #EndSARS protest which shook the entire world. The government has learnt its lessons from the protest, it is now time to listen and wait for the government.
If by the first quarter of next year, the government has not met the demands of the youth I will carry placards myself while joining the next protest. My children are always afraid of going out with their car for fear of police harassment and this cannot continue,” Bishop said.
