The National Water Resources Institute in Kaduna state has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO) aimed at staff exchange, students’ training and collaborative research.
Other areas of the collaboration include academic/technical information, awareness campaigns and establishment of UNESCO chair.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Lawrence Ezemonye stated this in a statement issued in Benin-City, Edo state, Thursday.
Ezemonye said programs of the Water Resources Institute are germane to IUO goals and aspirations.”
In a related development, the vice chancellor said the varsity was working out modalities for the establishment of Cyber-Engineering security as a course.
To this end, Ezemony stated that the school has been admitted into CISCO- a world class IT industry that deals with networking.
He said the university has created a smart campus that allows students to excel in a knowledge base driven by IT.
