Igbo in Kogi Central endorse Gov Bello



Igbo Community living in Kogi Central senatorial district has resolved to support Governor Yahaya Bello in the forthcoming governorship election to enable him continue to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

This resolution was contained in a statement issued in Okene Wednesday by the President General of the Association of Igbo Community in Ebira land, Chief Joseph Anikwe.

Anikwe disclosed that the decision to support the second term ambition of the governor was taken by the leadership of the Igbo community following a resolution, which he said is binding on all Igbo in the district.

The Igbo leader, who described Governor Bello as “the best option for the state this point in time, commended the governor for his achievements, especially in the area of peace and security of lives and property.

Also, he commended the governor for creating an enabling environment for business to thrive in the state, and expressed the hope that Governor Bello’s second term will improve the economy of the state.

While praying for peace to reign during the election, the Igbo leader enjoined all Igbo in the area to conduct their activities peacefully and be law abiding.

He then expressed happiness with the existing cordial relationship between Igbo and their host community.
