Igbo ‘ve nothing against Buhari – Okoloagu

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), and Board of Trustee (BoT) member, General Jude O. Okoloagu (rtd) has said the people of South-east have nothing against President Muhammudu Buhari and the ruling party.

Okoloagu, who stated this Wednesday when he revalidated his membership of the party in his country home, Ukehe, Igbo-Etiti local government area of Enugu state, said the Igbo are in APC just as they are in other political parties, adding that it is erroneous for anybody to infer that they hate APC or President Buhari.

He reasoned that APC is not an Hausa, Yoruba or Fulani party but a party for all Nigerians.

Okoloagu who is also a board member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), pointed out that when Obasanjo was the president, he did not make PDP a Yoruba party, neither did anybody refer to PDP as a Yoruba party but a national party.

He said in a free and fair election, APC would win election in any part of the country especially Enugu state, adding that PDP is not on ground.
“In a free and fair election, PDP is not on ground. We’ll not rig election but we shall win 2023 election. PDP can say anything. Go to your area and convince people to join APC,” he pleaded with his people .

As a proof that PDP is not on ground in Enugu state and other states, Okoloagu called the chairman of the APC revalidation and membership registration, Sen. Jonathan Zwingina to use his good offices to ensure that the Electoral Act is passed into law to dissuade rigging.
