Igbomina/Ekiti Muslim forum gets new leadership 

The Igbomina/Ekiti Muslim Forum (IEMF) has inaugurated its 9th National Executive with Alhaji Nasiru Olabisi lbrahim, a retired Permanent Secretary, as its new president.

Speaking at the event held in Ilorin over the weekend, the outgoing President, Prince Azeez Kolawole Olawuyi, appreciated the royal fathers in lgbomina and Ekiti, various committees and members of their forum for their support during the five years tenure of his executives. 

He, however, listed some achievements of his executives as; regular spiritual activities, annual Ramadan lectures, human capital development, scholarship, and job placement among others. 

He urged the new executives to implement the 5-year development plan of the forum to the latter. 

In his acceptance speech, the new president appreciated Allah for his guidance, the immediate past executives and the Shurah Committee for the smooth transition, even as he promised to take the forum to the next level. 

He, however, called for support from all members and the past executives. 

Earlier, the Chief Imam of Oke-Owa, Oro-Ago District, lfelodun Local Government Area of the State, lmam Yunus AbdulQuadri in his sermon, had charged Muslim leaders to live up to their promises to their people. 

He prayed for the success of the newly inaugurated executives. 

Similarly, the Chairman of the Shurar Committee, Barrister Ganeey Abidoye, applauded the immediate past executives for their selfless services and prayed for the  successful tenure of the new executives. 

Other members of the new executives include; Mr. Ganeey Kunle Akogun as Vice President, Mallam Mustafa Abubakar as General Secretary, lmam Salahudeen AbdulQuadri, Mall. Yahaya Haruna as Financial Secretary, Muritala Olodan as Publicity Secretary, Barr. Ganiyu Atofarati as Legal Adviser, Hajia Risikat Abdulwahab Ahmad as Amira among others.
