Ighalo, lheanacho, Moses, drafted against Cameroun

Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr has listed Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Victor Moses and Victor Osimhen to lead the attack in a must win double headed Word Cup qualifi ers against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun. Other names also selected for the attack position by the Franco-German tactician include Olarewaju Kayode, Anthony Nwakaeme, Ahmed Musa and Alex Iwobi.

Eagles captain Mikel Obi, like Moses and others who were not part of the African Cup of Nations qualifi er which Nigeria lost 0-2 to South Africa in Uyo, is making a return to the team in the midfi eld position. And to also play roles in the midfi eld are Mikel Agu, John Ogu, Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi , Oghenekaro Etebo and Uche Agbo.

To play in the defence are: Defenders: Shehu Abdullahi, Tyrone Ebuehi, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Elderson Echiejile, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo and Ola Aina. Th e Eagles coach also pick Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Alampasu and Dele Ajiboye as various options to man the goalpost for Nigeria. Th e fi rst leg of the world cup is slated to hold on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, akwa Ibom. A win on Saturday will help Eagles to consolidate their top position in Group B of the African qualifi ers . Nigeria are with six points after two games while Cameroon are second with two points. Zambia are third on one point with Algeria bottom also on one point
