Ignore £80m and stay at Man Utd, Oliseh tells Ighalo

Nigeria football legend and Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, Sunday Oliseh, says Manchester United is a better career legacy than being remembered as a Watford player.

As he tell Odion Ighalo to dump the China based team and stay with Manchester United. It is no news that the Chinese outfit wants Ighalo back in China by offering him a whooping £80m deal.

Odion Ighalo’s parent Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua put both the striker and Manchester United in an awkward position by offering the 30-year-old striker a bumper deal to return to Asia when the United deal expires this season. The situation thus left the Lagos-born footballer with a big decision to make while United are yet to decide on tabling a counter deal.

“Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and Ighalo must do everything to stay at the club,” Oliseh  told Nigeria media as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

“It would be better to be remembered as an ex-Manchester United player than an ex-Watford player.

“Joining United is the greatest thing to happen in his life and it will help his profile even after he is no longer playing,” added the former Juventus and Ajax Amsterdam midfielder.

Ighalo played 82 games for watford scoring 33 goals and 17 caps for the Shanghai base team scoring 10 goals. He has so far scored 4 goals for Manchester United.
