Ihedioha gets kudos on road construction

Imo people who came home for the just concluded Yuletide have commended Governor Emeka Ihedioha on the efforts  made to rehabilitate bad roads in the state.

Speaking to our correspondent in Owerri, George Nkwoji who came in from America said he was satisfied that he was fixing   potholes and reconstructing roads in the state and that he has  shown his eagerness to work for the people. He urged him  to keep it up.

Nnamdi Nlemadim who came in from Abuja commended the governor  for waiting for the rains to subside before embarking on the rehabilitation. He added that the governor’s position would allow Imo people to assess the road construction carried out by the immediate past government and the ones he was currently doing.

However, the duo urged him to expedite actions on the roads before this year’s rains set in as the rains might destroy the wonderful jobs he had done so far if works are delayed.

They specifically mentioned the Owerri-Portharcourt Road and  Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral and the Portharcourt Road/ Concord Road tunnel through the Imo Assembly tunnel. Also mentioned were Ekemelee axis of the Owerri-Okigwe-Enugu Expressway where palliative measures were put in place.  They also mentioned  the World Bank road  which carries a lot of traffic. They urged the governor to make haste to tar the roads and construct drainages that would stand the test of time so that the problems would be a thing of the past.
