IKEDC, stop this extortion

I want to use this medium to draw the attention of the management of Ikeja Electric to the way and manner their Ayobo Undertaking, supervised by the Akowonjo Business Unit, has been treating the residents of Isefun community and environs in Ayobo.
Officials of the company who are fond of collecting bribes from most residents who do not pay their electricity bills came to the area over two weeks ago and disconnected power supply to the community.
The areas affected include Tony Njoku, Adekola Adigun, Folami streets amongst other areas, all along Camp Davies Road, Isefun, Ayobo in Alimosho Local Government Area.
The officials insisted power would not be restored until defaulting residents paid up all outstanding bills owed. All efforts to make them realise that those who had been faithful in prompt settlements of electricity bills needed not be made to suffer unnecessarily met brick walls.
It is important to emphasise that it is the workers of the IKEDC who collect bribe from defaulting residents instead of disconnecting their power supply from the electric pole. We can no longer continue to bear this gruesome action. Even with the estimated bills they bring monthly, some of us have never defaulted in paying. This kind of treatment is unfair.
IKEDC management should, please, intervene and restore power back to the affected community.
