The new Director-General and CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA), Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has promised to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors.
Dr. Pantami who was appointed as the DG of the IT implementing agency during the week says he will continue with the legacy laid by his predecessors in achieving the outstanding vision of the agency.
While expressing his gratitude towards the reception he received from the outgoing acting DG, Vincent Olatunji, and other members of staff, Dr. Pantami said what is important to him is to see how Nigeria can explore the potentials of ICT for National development.
“What is important to us is Nigeria, and I am here to work together with you as a team to achieve the vision of the agency,” the new DG says.
Earlier in his welcome address, the outgoing Ag. DG stated that NITDA is one big family and assured him of the cooperation of all staff, stating that the Agency might be small in structure but broad in mandate.
Dr. Olatunji said Dr. Pantami’s coming cannot be at a better time than now, when the nation needs to leverage on ICT as alternative to oil to diversify the economy.
