I’ll declare presidential ambition soon – Kwankwaso

Kano state Governor,  Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has stated that he would soon declare his presidential ambition after his ongoing consultations with leaders of his party and other stakeholders.
Kwankwaso was speaking to newsmen at the Leadership newspapers awards where he, along with other five governors, emerged the Leadership Politicians of The Year 2013.
The Kano state governor stated that Nigerians had yearned for quality leadership having missed same in the current dispensation.

He said: “I believe all Nigerians are yearning for change today. We have seen what happened in terms of leadership at the national level, we have seen the level of problems in terms of insecurity and of course the level of corruption, in the area of unemployment and in the area of the economy and so on and so forth.”
The governor stated that Nigerians across the country were yearning for change, and promised that change in Nigeria was imminent through his party, the APC in 2015.

On reaching a consensus among the various presidential aspirants in the  party, the governor noted that the PDP “before now had organised primaries for aspirants in the party which strengthened followership of the party,” stressing that APC at the right time that would be acceptable to all.
Others who emerged as the politicians of the year according to the management of Leadership newspapers were the governors of Rivers, Jigawa, Niger, Kwara and Sokoto states.
The management of the paper said they were considered for the award for their exceptional courage in confronting the government of the day during the face-off with the federal government that resulted in the division in the governors’ forum.
