I’ll focus on improving schools, hospitals, correctional centres – Rotary president

The newly installed president of Rotary Club of Kaduna, Barrister AbdulMalik AbdulAzeez, has stated that his immediate focus is to improve Rigasa General Hospital, Jamiyyar Matan Arewa Primary School and the Kaduna Correctional Centre.

Speaking in his acceptance speech Friday in Kaduna, Rotarian AbdulAzeez said his programme for the one-year tenure was loaded based on expected collaboration from other stakeholders.

“I have earmarked some projects that the Club would execute in the Rotary year; like renovation of the school block for Jamiyyar Matan Arewa (which was built by the Rotary Club 40 years ago). We are going to renovate the Rigasa General Hospital in the area of some of the dilapidated structures.

“We going to collaborate with the Kaduna state government, international organisation and NGOs in carrying out our monthly projects as stipulated by the Rotary International,” he said.

Rotarian Joycelyn in her valedictory speech said the Club started with 22 members, but ended the year with 30 members
