I’ll return PDP to path of victory- chairmanship aspirant, Adedoja vows

A former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Professor Taoheed Adedoja has  picked his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to vie for the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the December 9 convention.

Briefing newsmen shortly after obtaining the forms Tuesday, Adedoja pledged to return the PDP to the path of victory if elected chairman of the party.

He promised amongst others to provide a group insurance for staff of the party while also pledging his readiness to introduce sporting activities to engage the youths drawn from all six geopolitical zones of the country.

“I am coming at a time Nigerians are preparing for another election in 2019. Nigerians are already used to some systems; they want PDP to come back.

“There is nothing wrong with the PDP. What we need is not rebranding but marketing of the party to Nigerians,” he said.

Under his watch, Adedoja promised to enthrone “A leadership that will represent a fresh face; a leadership that will bring about the unity of this country and a leadership that will bring about the confidence of Nigerians.”

He further disclosed that if entrusted with the mandate of leading the party, he would initiate strategies to rake in money to run the affairs of the party.
