Ilorin Daudu Banni pledges loyalty to Sulu Gambari

Daudu Banni in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara state, Alhaji Sulyman Abdulkareem has pledged his unalloyed loyalty to the emir of Ilorin and chairman kwara state council of chiefs and traditional rulers, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

He said successive heads of the community held the emir in high esteem, a virtue which he had also sustained since he assumed office in March 2017.

Abdulkareem made the pledge at a special prayer he organised for  the peaceful reign of the emir and for  sustained peace and harmony in Ilorin and its environs.

The annual prayer, which was also used to seek Allah’s intervention for peace  stability, and progress of the Ilorin emirate, according to the Daudu, is a tradition that had been on for 30 years.

Successive Daudu Bani have sustained the tradition of organising special prayers for peace and stability of Ilorin emirate in the last 30 years.

The prayer session which was attended by representatives of the emir, Alhaji Hassan Akande, was held at the palace of the Daudu in Banni, Sunday.

The Daudu Banni, who spoke through Alhaji Adelodun Orilonise, thanked the emir for his support since he assumed his stool as 8th Daudu Banni in March 2017.

He used the occasion of the prayer to appreciate the state governor on the construction of the Alore – Adabiya road even as he pleaded that same be extended to Takan- Daudu – Banni road.

The community head also appealed to the state governor to influence the construction of phase 11 of Balode road to Banni mosque down to Adabiya because of the   socio- economic importance of the road to the communities .
