I’m delighted to continue as Super Eagles Coach – Rohr

Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr is happy to extend his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, the Franco-German has declared.

The Nigeria Football Federation and the coach had been in discussions in recent weeks over the renewal of the contract between both parties and the coach has confirmed agreements have been reached and he is delighted to continue as manager of the three-time African champions.

“I’m happy to continue”, the former Bordeaux defender told AOIFootball.com, a clear indication he is ready to lead the team to greater heights.

Rohr’s record has seen him in charge of 49 games with the Super Eagles, winning 29, drawing 11 and losing 9 with a 59.18 winning percentage.

Currently, the Super Eagles look good to seal their qualification to the next African Cup of Nations billed to be hosted by Cameroon after garnering 6 points from two games in Group L and they face third-place Sierra Leone in back to back games when proceedings resume.

Rohr’s new contract is expected to last till after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
