I’m out to serve, not to rule Adamawa people – Fintiri

Acting governor of Adamawa state, Hon. Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri, has said that he is in the governorship race to serve the people of the Adamawa state with the last drop of his blood but not to rule them.
Fintiri stated this on Sunday while addressing PDP supporters during his campaign rally in Lamurde and Demsa local government areas, saying that his administration would be a complete departure from that of the ousted former governor Murtala which subjected the people to untold hardships.
He further assured that the resources of the state belonged to all and would be used to better the lot of the people of Adamawa even as he accused Murtala Nyako’s administration of squandering local government funds “which made it impossible for them to paid salaries.”
According to him, since he come on board he has given local government their funds which enable them to paid outstanding salaries and that the remaining one month salaries owe local government staff will soon be paid.
Earlier, in his remarks, the state PDP chairman, Chief Joel Madaki, called on the people to vote for the acting governor to enable him continue with the good work he had started .
He also appealed to all those nursing ambition under the PDP platform in 2015 to put aside their ambition and work together to deliver the party candidate in October 11 bye-election.
