I’m ready to face EFCC investigation – Candido boasts


 Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC),  Abdullahi Adamu Candido has said  he is ready to be investigated over alleged misappropriation of funds levied against him. 
He said this at a one day town hall meeting with stakeholders organised to discuss issues relating to its internally generated revenue and to discuss issues facing residents of the council. 


He added that it was important for the residents and people of the council to be kept abreast of the happenings in the council. 
Candido added that it was important for the people to be carried along with what goes on within the council as it would make them hold their leaders accountable. 
On the issue of petition written against him, the chairman said  it was politically motivated as he was not deterred by his accusers. 


“I want to tell you categorically that this issue is politically motivated and I am ready to stand before any institution for questioning. 
“The issues raised by the petitioner does not have facts,  they are simply fabricated and they contain a lot of inaccuracies,” he said. 


The chairman called on the residents of the council to come to his office with any question pertaining to his administration as he operates an open door policy. 
He also called on media organisations to work for the interest of the people of the council by saying the truth at all times. 

Meanwhile, the Marshal General of AMAC Marshal, a security outfit in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Comrade Kassim Isyaku Chicha, has condemned the allegation on Candido, saying “the attack by a civil society organisation is unfair.”

Chicha stated this during a press briefing held in his office at
Apo AMAC secretariat, Abuja.
He said in making allegations of none performance during
Candido’s three years plus in the office, people should be fair to themselves as well as to those they accuse.
