The Interim Management Committee has brought forward the NPFL tie between Dakkada and Rivers United in the Matchday 4 tie in Uyo to Saturday 28th January 2023, the league organizer has confirmed.
Originally the match was slated for Sunday 20th February with Akwa United also playing at the same venue on the same day.
But in a quick response, the IMC in an official letter received by the club dated 24th January 2023 and signed by Davidson Owumi, Head of Operations – read in parts.
According to the IMC, “Based on Akwa United and Dakkada FC’s use of the same stadium facility, it was unanimously resolved that the Matchday 4 fixtures be rescheduled as follows.
Dakkada FC vs Rivers United which was billed for Sunday 29 January, will now hold on Saturday 28 January (at 3 pm).
While the Akwa United vs Plateau United game will still hold on Sunday 29 January but with a new kickoff time of
3 pm as against the initial 4 pm.
The IMC then mandated the affected home teams to ensure that all logistics are put in place for the games.
