Eight members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Leading the pack is the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chiji Collins, of Isiala Mbano state constituency; Majority Leader, Hon Chigozie Nwaneri of Oru East; Hon Uche Ogbuagu of Ikeduru and Hon Dominic Ezerioha of Oru West.
Others are Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi of Owerri West, Hon Onyemaechi Njoku of Ihitte Uboma, Eddy Obinna of Aboh Mbaise and Hon Kennedy Ibe of Obowo state constituencies.
With this latest exercise, PDP now has eight members out of 27 left in the Assembly.
