Imo police parade Fr. Nwadike’s abductors

In fulfillment of their promise, the police in Imo state have arrested and paraded abductors of Rev. Father Cyriacus Onunkwo of Umuotuasi village, Osina, in Ideato North LGA of Imo state who came into the country to bury his father before he was abducted on September 1, 2017.

Also, the Command has paraded abductors of popular singer, Chinedu Nwadike who robbed him of his red coloured Honda CRV Jeep Reg. No. ABN 492 TS on World Bank Road, near Great Gospel Liberation Church, New Owerri, on July 10, 2017.

Addressing newsmen yesterday, the Imo state Police Commissioner, Mr. Chris Ezike, who disclosed that the investigation into the abduction and death of Rev. Father Onunkwo took five days to conclude, said his abductors used a Toyota Avalon car with Reg. No. ETU 368, double-crossed him at Banana junction at Orlu, brought him out from his own grey coloured Toyota Corrola car with Reg. No. IMO KED 290 AA, put him inside their own and sped off.

 

He added that the Rev. Father might have died because of gasp for breath.

 

He gave the name of the abductors as Izuchukwu Okafor aka Small, 28, from Azia, Anambra state, who was arrested at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt; Onyema Cyril, 29, of Umuaro village, Okwelle, in Onuimo LGA of Imo state, who was arrested at Control Post Owerri.

 

He holds a National Diploma in Public Administration from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede.

 

He drove the Toyota Avalon; Emmanuel Ozuigbo, 29, arrested at NNPC Mega station by Control Post.

Hails from Ezeagu in Enugu state and holds a WASC.

 

He resides at Ama Hausa in Owerri.

The wrist watch of the Rev. Father was with him; Victor Iroakansi from Umuchukwu Umuagu Obowo who was arrested at Mpama Egbu.

 

He holds a B.Sc in Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

 

He is the owner of the Toyota Avalon car used in the operation; Ifechukwu Nwosu, 28, hails from Azia in Ihiala LGA of Anambra state and resident there; Ex-Corporal Jude Madu, 32, hails from Umukishi Amuze Ahiara Ahiazu Mbaise LGA.

He is a member of armed robbery kidnapping syndicate.

 

He holds a National Diploma from Abia State Polytechnic and was arrested at Control Post, Owerri, in possession of the deceased’s phone.

CP Ezike also gave the names of the abductors of Gospel singer, Chinedu Nwadike as follows: Chibuike Owen,26 years of  Umuogele Isiala Mbano; Obinna Onye,36 years of Umueze Amaimo in Ikeduru LGA; Chiagoziem Okoye,36 years of Ukwulu Dunokofia LGA of Anambra state; Chukwuemeka Daniel, 28, of Ogwa Mbaitoli LGA and Anyanwu Odinakachi, 40, of Umuobia Olokoro Umuahia South of Abia state.
