Imo to replace Ebubeagu with vigilante outfit

Imo state government may have concluded plans to set up an Imo vigilante outfit to replace Ebubeagu which citizens have roundly condemned because of their method of operation and too many killings associated with them.

Speaking with newsmen weekend, the Chief Political Adviser/Head of Political Affairs Bureau, Enyinna Onuegbu, said Governor Hope Uzodimma planned to float a vigilante group for security of lives and property of Imo people.

He added that the law supporting the creation of the vigilante group has been passed by the House of Assembly.

It is worthy to note that Imo people are not happy with Ebubeagu. In the past few months, senseless killings of innocent Imo youth have been recorded and reportedly traceable to Ebubeagu.
