Imo: Uncertainty as NSE probes 2 bridges built by Okorocha, shut down by Ihedioha

The two flyovers built by th immediate past governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, are now being investigated by the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Imo State chapter.

Blueprint gathered that the review became necessary following an agreement reached between the society and Governor Emeka Ihedioha after the closure of one of the bridges due to noticeable cracks and leakages around them.

Imo chapter Chairman of NSE, Engineer Luke Uzoigwe, has therefore set up a committee to look at the bridges and other related projects done by the former governor.

The flyovers under review were started by former governor, Sir Ikedi Ohakim and completed by Okorocha.

There are indications that incumbent governor Ihedioha may likely pull them down and construct new bridges, depending on the professional advice of the Engineers.
