In Akwa Ibom, ex-guber aspirant sticks to ADC

A one time governorship aspirant of Young Democratic Party (YDP) in Akwa Ibom state, Arc. Ezekiel Nyaetok, has finally pitched a tent with African Democratic Congress (ADC), ignoring People Democratic Party (PDP) and All progressive Congress (APC).

Subsequently, Nyaetok declared ADC to be the only sincere party that cares about the development of the rural community which is inline with the social governance Ideology
He made this decision known to newsmen in a media parley at his social housing estate, Ikot Ntuen Nsit in Nsit ibom local government area on Monday.

Nyaetok said reasons he can neither go back to his former party PDP nor move to APC was that the two parties were not ready to adapt his fundamental social governance Ideology which is aimed at rural development.
“African Democratic Congress is a sincere party that cares about the development of the rural community which is inline with the social Governance Ideology,” he said.

“People are tired of deceitful parties that entrust powers within their household and forget about the poor masses that voted them into power.

“I want an empty party to grow in order to bring in my wealth of experience and after careful consideration  ADC is fit for it.”
Nyaetok, who frowned at the poor development in the rural setting, advised the government to introduce what he described as ‘ward government’.
According to him, village community development  will be achievable because each village in the ward will touch, see and feel the impact of government.
He also maintained that any party that wishes to grow needs the Seven fundamental social governance Ideology.
“Social governance is a bottom-to- top, people- centered approach to governance and development with the primary objective of bringing the citizens out of poverty,” he said.
“Social governance aims to recreate and expand the middle class, not by pulling the rich down, but by pulling the poor up through the provision of qualitative and affordable education, healthcare, housing and other social infrastructure.

“The focus of social governance is the welfare of the most vulnerable being the poor, the physically-challenged, the rural dwellers, students, workers, women, the elderly and children.
“Social governance is therefore the effective actualization of the core mandate of government as clearly stated in the constitution that the security.and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government” ( chapter 2 section 14, subsection 2b of the Nigerian constitution).”
