In Ebonyi, LP guber candidate promises civic education

The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate for the 2023 polls in Ebonyi state, Edward Nkwegu, has pledged to create a civic education program that will suit the present-day if elected in 2023.

Nkwegu who is an industrialist and employer of labour noted that with a healthy environment, people would be able to take care of their needs.

The LP guber candidate stated this Monday in a chat with journalists in his office in Abakaliki.

He rolled out his four-point agenda to be; Job creation, Civic education, Good governance, and a healthy environment.

Speaking further o the reticulation of water, Nkwegu noted that the state, especially the capital, has no good source of water.

“We don’t have good water here. We depend on borehole water which is not good for the body.

“We use borehole water to cook, to do virtually everything and it is not good for our health. The borehole water contains a lot of chemicals that can be harmful to the body.

“I will embark on reticulation of water, to ensure our people get good health because bad water is injurious to the body”.

The LP guber candidate also promised to create over 250,000 jobs in his first two years in office if he wins in the 2023 general election.

He said the state is most challenged in the area of poverty.
