In Ebonyi, Umahi sacks Chief of Staff in major cabinet reshuffle

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, Monday announced a major cabinet reshuffle.

He sacked Chief of staff Dr. Emmanuel Offor Okorie, and appointed him as the chairman of Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC) board.

The change in position of some of the positions in his cabinet was contained in a radio announcement by the Secretary to the State Government (SGF) in the state.

Others affected in the Cabinet reshuffling includes, Mrs. Chinwe Okah  former commissioner for budget and planning, now commissioner for market development and management, Prof. Ogbonnaya Chukwu former commissioner for finance and economic development, now commissioner for commerce and industry,.

Other are Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji former commissioner for Information and state orientation, now acting commissioner for human capital development and monitoring now.

Chief Moses Oshibe former commissioner for lands and survey is now commissioner for rice mils development while commissioner for environment is currently designated as commissioner for lands and survey.

Comrade Jonah Egba who was commissioner for solid mineral development has become commissioner for environment, Chief Donatus Njoku was commissioner for commerce and industry is placed as commissioner for solid mineral development.

The governor according to the announcement, also redeployed his aides and some permanent secretaries.
