In Kaduna, publishing coy dedicates children book to UBEC, Abibat Mogaji

A Kaduna-based company, Richvalues Concept Ltd. has published a children short story book to mark this year’s International Literacy Day commemorated every September 8.
The company told reporters in Kaduna on Monday that the book titled: ‘The Wise Queen’ and authored by Mohammed Nasir Usman, is dedicated to; Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and to the memory of late Hajiya Abibat Mogaji.

According to the author, the book dedication is because of their respective contributions to the development of child education in Nigeria and beyond.
“Our company – Richvalues Concept Ltd. Kaduna, would be presenting to the public our new children short story book titled: “The Wise Queen” to mark the International Literacy Day 2020 which comes up tomorrow 8th September, 2020.

“The book is dedicated to: Universal Basic Education Commission, for its avid drive, consistency and firmness of purpose in sustaining a solid foundation for Nigeria’s educational system, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation for living to its creeds and to the memory of Late Hajiya Abibat Mogaji, Iyaloja in General, for helping many less privileged children to have access to education.
“The book though written for children, adults too will find it’s material useful. The book is an allegory that presents a ‘clan’ of elephants led by the Wise Queen in a movement towards getting rid of their plight or effects of bad climate change in their environment.

“The bad climate change has precipitated: eroding of their habitats, deaths of small animals like antelope and others and flood of the river from which they drink water: gradual depletion of the ecosystem in their environment thereby making life so unbearable to them. But with a unanimous resolution among the elephants, the Wise Queen is rocketed to a distant land where she meets the knowledgeable Tanko who teaches her the way and their plight soon disappears.”

The author urged the reader to take note of the thematic undertones: such as man’s supposed first activity on earth, which is seeking for knowledge; man’s contribution to changing climate from good to bad. The author equally admonished the readers to note the minor themes.
“The book is a window to modernity of children literature. It is a book linked to the points considered as global goals for sustainable development. We wish to remind all elites in all part of the globe to support education because it is the true panacea for solving the growing social, religious, environmental and economic challenges facing our world,” he added.
