Kano state police command on Monday rescued 15 years old Aisha Jubril locked inside room for 10 years by her parents.
According to the police, the girl had been without proper feeding and health care while under locked.
The police had since arrested, Rabi Muhammed, the mother of the girl as efforts are on ground to track the father who fled away.
The commissioner of police, CP Sama’ila Shuabi Dikko, however, ordered for the transfer of the case to criminal investigation department for discrete investigation.
