Inclusive governance responsible for peace in Plateau – JNI

Secretary General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Dr. Khalid Aliyu, has said the all inclusive leadership style of Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau is responsible for the relative peace in the state.
The JNI scribe stated this in an interview with our correspondent in Jos.
He said: “The efforts and giant strides being taken by the administration of Governor Simon Lalong in the governance of all-inclusiveness should be the watch word for the sustainability of peace”.
Aliyu said the leadership style will save the people and government from the, “rigors of having to go far in order to search for peaceful coexistence, harmony, development, neighborliness and understanding”.
“I think the foresight of the governor is really laudable and commendable, and I think leaderships where ever they are should see themselves as true representatives of the People and there should be the will of the People and inclusiveness in terms of their administration,” he added.
Aliyu expressed worry that foreign hands were penetrating in the crisis within Bassa and Bokkos local government areas of the state.
“I think foreign hand is penetrating quite unfortunately, and this is the bad side of politics. When you politicise peace, administration, rights, duties and responsibilities, this is the result you have. I think it is very painful and mind bugling for the most peaceful communities within Plateau to now be involved in blood-letting, killings, attacks and counter attacks,” he said.
