INEC chair Yakubu, MAN president Mansur bag award

Chairman Independent national Electoral Commission Mahmood Yakubu is to bag an excellence award at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Annual General Meeting, Public Lecture and Awards in Kaduna.

Also billed for similar award are president, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Engineer Mansur Ahmed, and a ministerial nominee and co-founder, Integrated Engineering Association Kaduna,   Engineer Suleiman Hussaini Adamu.

A statement by chairman, NIPR Kaduna chapter Monday, Bashir Chedi, said the event scheduled for Saturday, August 3, holds at the Conference Hall of Sir. Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Kaduna under the chairmanship of Allah’s servant. Mallam Zubair Jibril, Mai-Gwari II Emir of Birnin Gwari.

 The recipients, Chedi said, were singled out for distinguishing themselves in their service to their father land.

He said the public lecture themed: “Revival of Industries in the North; The Textiles Example” is to be delivered by renown Kano-based industrialist and chairman of Adhama Textiles and Garments Limited, Alhaji Saidu Dattijo Adhama.

The lecture’s theme, the NIPR said, was borne out of the need for concerted efforts on the part of all stakeholders to bring out an industrial rebirth in the country, particularly in the North where the textile industry was once dominant.

While Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state is expected to be the special guest of honour, his Sokoto, Niger, Plateau, Jigawa, Katsina and Kano states, the statement said, are  expected to grace the occasion.
