INEC redeploys RECs

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the what it called the “routine re-deployment” of some its Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).
A statement issued yesterday by the Secretary to the Commission, Mrs. Augusta C. Ogakwu, said the re-deployment took effect immediately with the handing over to be concluded by Tuesday, the February 2, 2016.

According to the statement, Dr Ogbadu Gabriel Ada, who hails from Cross River state, is now posted to Akwa Ibom state, while Sylvester Okey Ezeani, who is presently in Anambra state, is to proceed to Abia state.
Also Sam Olumekun who hails from Ondo state has been redeployed to Edo. He is currently in Ekiti state.

Similarly, Mrs. Gesila Khan from Bayelsa state currently in Rivers in the new REC in Cross River state while Barrister Austin Okojie, an indigene of Edo state, presently in Akwa Ibom state, is to proceed to Bayelsa state.
Baritor Kpagih, a native of Rivers state, has been redeployed to Delta; he is the current REC in Bayelsa state, while Mr. Habu Zarma Hinna, from Gombe state, will now take over as the REC in Taraba state; he is presently the REC in Yobe state.
Also, Ikoiwak Aniedi Abasi, an indigene of Akwa Ibom state, who is currently in Delta, has been redeployed to Rivers state.
Dr Lawrence Azubike, who hails from Imo state, has been redeployed to Anambra state; his present posting is in Ebonyi state.
