Insecurity: Amotekun launches operation ‘Gbale Gbako’

As the yuletide approaches and in a bid to address criminal activities during the season, the Western Nigerian Security Network codenamed Amotekun has embarked on inter border patrol.

The exercise started weekend between Ondo and Osun states’ officers of the Western Nigerian Security Network Agency. Ekiti, Ogun and Oyo states will be launched at a later date.

This operation is tagged “Operation Gbale Gbako” to ensure sanity both at home, in the forest, on the roads, on the sea and everywhere within the Southwest part of the country.

While declaring the border patrol open and addressing the people at Owena border town, Ondo state Amotekun commander and chairman of Southwest Amotekun Commanders, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, stated that the exercise is to ensure hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebrations in the Southwest zone and its borders.
