Insecurity in the North-west, a collective responsibility – Koguna

Addressing the lingering insecurity in the North-west of Nigeria is a collective responsibility of every good citizen of the region.

The assertion was made by the former Zamfara APC governorship aspirant in 2019 election, Alhaji Muktar Shehu Idris, in an interview with newsmen shortly after the wedding Fathia of his daughter in Gusau.

He said the time has came when people should give the necessary support to government both at state and federal level with positive information about criminal’s hideout or any strange movement in their domains.

“Everyone has a role to play on how to tackle the lingering insecurity we have been experiencing for almost a decade in Zamfara state. I implore good citizens of the state to support the government in its efforts to contain it for peace to thrive,” he stated.

He described the insecurity in the country, particularly the North-west zone as worrisome and commended Zamfara state government and the federal government for the efforts made to ensure peace returns to the state.
