Insecurity: Justify your salaries, mandates, Madu tasks NSCDC personnel

The acting Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Hilary Madu, has charged Corps personnel to justify their salary and mandates by providing measures against any form of attack on the nation and its citizenry.

Addressing a news conference Monday in Abuja, Madu said all hands must be on deck in tacking the current security challenges confronting the nation, especially the herders/farmers crisis.

The new NSCDC boss said the Agro Rangers Unit have to step up it game to protect farmers and their investments.

He assured that his tenure as the acting Comptroller General would develop strategies that will eliminate the destruction of pipelines which usually lead to deadly fire incidents.

“Security is national development  that’s why am urging all the members of the corps from today to rekindle our efforts, redouble your efforts to justify the mandate and salary that you are being paid.

“We are assuring our honorable Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, that we are not going to disappoint him. He has continue to fight for us so we should not drag this corps to the mud.

He also advised members of staff to always adhere to Covid-19 protocols and warn against indiscipline.
