Insecurity: Masari calls for unity among North-west govs

The Katsina state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, Wednesday said the lingering insecurity challenges facing the entire Northwestern states as a result of the activities of armed bandits can only be addressed if the governors of the region join hands together.

Masari stated this when he formally commissioned Zamfara state House of Assembly Complex to be renovated by the Zamfara state governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, at the cost of N1. 4 billion as part of his achievement while in office in the last two years.

He said no single governor can address the lingering insecurity challenges in his state without support from federal and counterpart colleagues, especially in the Northwest where banditry has been the order of the day.

“We must unite and speak with one voice and end the lingering insecurity challenges we face in the region,” Masari said.

Governor Masari commended the Zamfara state governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, for the renovation of the state House of Assembly Complex, saying the complex will now compete with other states in the country in the area of modern structure and conducive working environment.
