Insecurity: Masari donates 10 APCs to Nigerian Army

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state has donated 10 locally fabricated Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) to assist security agents to fight bandits.

Governor Masari stated this while commissioning the APCs on Tuesday at the Government House, Katsina.

He said government purchased the vehicles fabricated from Kebbi state at the cost of N100 million to support security agents to discharge their duties effectively.

“The government acquired the Armoured Personnel Carriers so that the security agents can confront the bandits in the 10 frontline local government areas in the state.

“The vehicles acquired will surely boost the morale of the security agents to checkmate the activities of the bandits that have been disturbing the state,” he said.

The governor condemned the activities of informers who give vital information about local folks in the rural areas.

Masari said without the informers, the bandits cannot carry out their activities successfully.

“The government is determined to win this war against the bandits as all efforts have been put in place to support the security agents.

“I am appealing to members of the general public to give all the necessary support to the security agents in order to win the war against the bandits,” he said.
