Insecurity: Matawalle, others to speak at Arewa media writers conference

Governor Bello Mohammed Mutawalle of Zamfara state is expected to address Arewa youths in Kaduna on Sunday on insecurity and political development affecting the Northwest region.

A statement signed by National Secretary, Arewa Media Writers, Haidar Hashim Kano on Saturday said the Conference, aimed at addressing insecurity in the region, will equally be graced by Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state, the Speaker Kaduna state House of Assembly, members of the National Assembly, Emir of Zazzau and retired security chiefs. 

“Governor Bello Mohammed Mutawalle of Zamfara state will be delivering a paper on issues of insecurity challenges, political development affecting the Northern region with focus on Northwest at the annual conference of Arewa Media Writers holding in Kaduna on Sunday.

“The Zamfara state governor will be presenting a paper titled “The Fight Against Banditry in the Northwest Nigeria: Challenges and Solutions”. Over 1,000 youths majority of whom are members of the group across the 19 Northern states including Abuja are expected to attend the annual event.

“The event will showcase Governors of Zamfara and Kaduna states, Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, members of National Assembly, Emir of Zazzau, retired security chiefs, business entrepreneurs and other prominent personalities across the country.

“Arewa Media Writers was established for public enlightenment on peaceful coexistence, unity and understanding among Nigerians. It is an amalgamated group of different members of teeming youths who are mainly users of social media, seasoned journalists and public affairs analysts with vast interest in politics, national development and cohesion from the Northern region,” the statement said.
