Insecurity: Nasarawa speaker seeks divine intervention

The Speaker, Nasarawa state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has urged Nigerians to pray for divine intervention to overcome the security and other challenges facing the nation.

Abdullahi made the call Wednesday in his country home at Umaisha, Toto local government area of Nasarawa state.

He said that prayer is key to overcoming the challenges facing the country, tasking Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders to succeed in the tasks ahead of them.

“I want to use this medium to call on Nigerians to pray fervently for the nation, particularly at this period of security challenges we are going through.

“Let us pray to the Almighty God to intervene in this trying period of security challenges,” he said.

Abdullahi appreciated the government and security agents for curtailing security challenges in his constituency and the country at large.

“My Local Government, Toto, has been in the news for the past few years over security challenges. I thank God, with the intervention of both the federal government and Nasarawa state government, the situation is now stable.

Abdullahi also called on Nigerians to disregard calls for revolution in the interest of peace and development.

“Those calling for revolution do not wish the country well as President Buhari had performed credibly well, especially in the area of insecurity, corruption, among others.

The Speaker also urged the people of his constituency, and Nigerians in general, to be their brothers’ keeper and law abiding for development to thrive.(NAN)
