General Overseer of Fullstature Missions International (FMI), Apostle Isaiah Dayo Lawon, yesterday advised federal government to formulate new policy on the nation’s porous borders.
The cleric, while delivering a lecture in Ibadan titled “The Four Blood Moons”, declared that government should do something about the porosity of the nation’s borders.
Lawon noted that there was an urgent need to adequately beef up security across the nation’s borders, because of the series of security challenges facing the country.
He however advised federal government to, without wasting of time, solicit for security partnership with Israel and France, in view of the porosity of most of our borders in Nigeria.
He said: “Israeli borders are not porous as Nigeria’s borders. The porosity of Nigeria’s borders has created a big problem for the country. Government should do something about the porosity of the borders.
“A new policy on the borders should be enacted, and Israel can help in this area. As regards France, it should be noted that France has also become a major player in the area of international security, as there are more Franco-phone countries in Africa than Anglo-phone countries.”
Lawon stressed that the two countries would be willing to come to the rescue of Nigeria, saying: “Nigeria currently enjoys cordial diplomatic relationship with Israel and France”.

On the Centenary anniversary, Apostle Lawon declared that there was need for the celebration, “because Nigeria is a blessed nation intellectually, economically and socially, irrespective of the problems we have”.
