Insecurity: Poly students suspend protest against service chiefs

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has suspended the proposed nationwide protest against service chiefs.

President of the association, Activist Sunday Asuku, stated in Abuja Thursday at a press briefing that the association was fully in support of President Buhari-led administration and its determination to execute his programmes.

Consequently, he said, the call for change of service chiefs is not necessary, adding that intergovernmental and multidimensional support for the service chiefs is needed to end insurgency in the country.

“We wish to emphatically state that our beloved association has not and will never be party to any move or action capable of undermining or bringing down the administration of President Buhari but rather support the government to actualise her set agenda to advance Nigeria to the next level,” he said.
