Insurance battle El-Kanemi Warriors in NPFL clash, face ABS in FA Cup 

Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin will be filing out against El-Kanemi Warriors on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in the week 15 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin.

The Group A leaders will be looking to sustain their new found form of invincibility in the revised fixture.

The Benin Arsenals pipped the warriors 1-0 before their home fans in the first round in Maiduguri. The only goal of the match was scored by Deputy Echeta in the 32nd minute.

Insurance FC in week 14 encounter with Remo Stars on Sunday, came back from a goal down to level up through their star Midfielder Divine Nwachukwu’s equalising goal, four minutes after Kwame Mawuna had scored for Remo Stars in the 16th minute. The Divine vital away goal salvaged the situation at Ikenne in the week 14 encounter on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance FC and their Feeders will be representing Edo state in the Federation Cup round of 64 scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 26 at different centers across the nation.

While the NPFL group A leaders will be playing host to ABS of Ilorin in Lagos by 2:00 pm, their Feeders team will be warming up to trade tackles with NLO1 side Maikunkele FC of Niger state in Lokoja,Kogi state. Kick off time is 4:00pm.

The Benin Arsenals reached the the round of 16 while their Feeders fought to the round of 32 in the Federation Cup last season.

In the ongoing NPFL-LALIGA U-15 Promise at Ikenne,Insurance Under 15 Feeders exited the youth league after recording one loss and two draws in the group stage. Enyimba and Wilki Tourists under 15 teams made it to the quarter finals from the group C which had Insurance and Dakkada FC.
