Introducing Horace Tempo, music producer/musician

Music producer and musician, Horace Tempo, born Horace Wangnin Saizonou blew into the music space about one and half years ago. In that little time, he has not only carved a niche of his own but has built a cult following that has devoutly identified with his musical identity and are willing to walk with him on his journey.

While the world was grappling with the global lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic, the Beninese music maker embarked on a self discovery mission. He came out not only as a music maker but produced his own very first musical creation. He released his first track, an instrumental titled “The Ride”.

“Early 2020 when the covid19 pandemic hit the world and we were under lockdown, I mastered my craft and got the blessings of a few of my mentors, and that’s how I produced my first record The Ride

and released it early 2020.

After “The Ride” Horace Tempo would go on to produce two more instrumental tracks “Logic” and “Focus” to cement his credentials in the music space. But it was the track “Self” that changed the game for him. He produced both the instrumental and the lyrical edition. After the success of “Self” Horace Tempo cemented his previous instrumentals as lyrical tracks.

“Yes, my record “Self” has gained over 700 Hundred Thousand streams in a year, it is a powerful and uplifting song produced and released by me in May 2020. I have already produced and released a remix for the black empowerment song “Upheaval” of the legend of Benin, Nel Oliver,” he remarked in an interview.

Horace Tempo understands the power of collaboration and he has shown time and time again on his social media platforms that he is favourably disposed to exploring this possibility more. Although he shared the thought with his followers on Instagram, Horace Tempo has revealed the African giants on top of his list.

The names include but not limited to Saghohan Danialou, Fally Ipupa, Angelique Kidjo, Oumou Sangare, Any artist from GIM’s label, Sun El Musician, Wizkid, Don Jazzy and Diamond Platnum as his musical mentors

Horace Tempo is currently working on his next project, a 10-track body of work to be titled “Sanity”. He said the tracks are designed with soothing sounds for listeners that are into Yoga.
