Inuwa sworn in as Gombe 4th civilian Governor

Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has been sworn in as the fourth civilian governor of Gombe state with assurances to improve the social-economic of the state.

Inuwa Yahya took oath of office alongside his deputy, Mr Manassah Daniel Jatau, which was administered by the Chief Judge of Gombe state, Justice Hakila Heman, at the Pantami township stadium.

He said his administration will create enabling environment for investors who will be willing to come in to the state to invest.

Yahaya also emphasized his administration’s readiness to create job opportunities for the teeming youth in the state which in turn will reduce the rate of drug abuse and other social vices.

He said will make  concerted efforts to create a functional civil service and ensure good condition of service.

“We will create a conducive atmosphere for you to work, and we are expecting you to reciprocate the gesture,” he said.

He also promised to improve the standard of education in the state by building the capacity of teachers and provision of instructional material in schools.

Inuwa Yahya expressed his readiness to work closely with traditional institutions in the state to restore peace and development in the state.

“Traditional institutions are custodian of our culture, they play a vital role, we will work closely with them to restore peace and development in the state.

“We will give them chance to enable them contribute meaningfully to the overall development in their domain,” he said.
