Investors wealth deplete further by N23bn

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Tuesday closed south ward, shedding N23 billion.

Market Capitalisation of listed equities declined further by 0.21 per cent to N10.678 trillion from N10.701 trillion reported the previous day.

The NSE All Share Index also depreciated by 61.68 basis points to 28422.76 points from 28484.44 points recorded on Monday.

 Investors for the day traded 200.075 million shares worth N6.690 billion in 3600 deals against 214.684 million share valued at N2.784 billion exchanged hands the previous day in 3856 deals.

Mobil Plc led gainers table during the day, gaining N9.00 to close at N174.00, Guaranty Trust Bank followed with a gain of N0.60 kobo to close at N31.60 kobo, UAC of Nigeria added N0.30 kobo to close at N7.30 kobo, Zenith Bank Plc increased by N0.30 kobo to close at N20.00, United Bank for Africa advanced by N0.15 kobo to close at N6.15 kobo.

The result, however, showed that Nestle Nigeria Plc recorded the highest loss for the day, declining by N51.50 kobo to close at N14.30 kobo, Seplat Petroleum Development Plc trailed with a loss of N2.00 to close at N520.00, Wapco fell by N0.30 kobo to close at N10.70 kobo, FBNHoldings dropped by N0.25 kobo to close at N7.25 kobo while Dangote Sugar Refinery down by N0.20 kobo to close at N13.60 kobo.

Guaranty Trust Bank was the Most active stock during the day, exchanging 33.111 million shares Worth N1.029 billion, Zenith Bank followed with account of 27.019 million shares valued at N537.774 million, Access Bank Plc traded 23.026 million shares cost N155.972 million, United Bank for Africa sold a total of 19.382 million shares worth N120.298 million, FBNHoldongs traded 8.893 million shares valued at N64.646 million.
