IPAC drums support for Yobe Governor-elect

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Yobe, said it would support the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of Governor-elect, MaiMala Buni, to fulfill his campaign promises to the electorates.

IPAC chairman in the state Alhaji Umar Kukuri stated this in an interview with Blueprint on Monday in Damaturu.

“Alhaji MaiMala Buni, the governor elect in his acceptance speech after his success at the polls extended hands of fellowship to other candidates and political parties to support him in moving the state forward, we are heeding to that call to move our state forward.

“The political parties under the umbrella of IPAC signed peace accord before the elections for peaceful elections, we are building on this to support the new administration execute its policies and programmes to improve the lives of our people,” Kukuri said.

IPAC assured of the support of all political parties to the new administration.

“We will support the new regime in every capacity to build a strong and prosperous state to improve the lives of the people,” he said.

The council urged Buni led administration to concentrate on agriculture, youth and women empowerment to generate employment and stimulate the economy.

“The agricultural sector should be improved to provide more employment opportunities, ensure food security and improve the economy of the state.

IPAC calls on people of the state to support the new regime to execute people oriented projects against personal and selfish interests.
