Th e Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) has said it will hold its second annual Conference tomorrow, August 1, at the Shehu Musa Yar’dua Centre, Abuja. According the national publicity secretary of IPAC, Chief Ogbuehi Dike, in a press statement made available to Blueprint, the Conference with a theme: “Internal Party Democracy: A Recipe To A Sustainable Democracy In Nigeria,” will highlight among other issues the signing of 2017 amended IPAC Code of Conduct.
Th e statement discloses that while former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, (Waziri Adamawa), is chairman of the occasion, the national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, will deliver the keynote address. Also according to Dike, “Th e Registrar, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Segun Ogunyinwo will deliver the lead paper entitled:, “Developing Mechanism For Mitigating Inter And Intra Party Confl icts And Promoting Internal Democracy.” “Participants will address the issues of hate speech during political campaigns, strengthening women, youths and person with disabilities etc”. Th e statement adds.
