Isaac Success set to join Aston Villa on loan

EFL Championship club Aston Villa are set to sign Watford’s Nigerian striker Isaac Success on a season-long loan, according to reports in the British media.
The 22-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish side Malaga, is in line to be Levante UD pull out of chase for Anderson Esiti farmed out again by the Hornets.
Success will reportedly spend the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Villa Park, with a view to a permanent move next year.
The forward, who has made one appearance for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, joined Watford in July 2016 from Granada for a fee of around £12.5 million.
However, Success only scored once in 19 appearances for the Hornets in his first season at the club and fell down the pecking order at Vicarage Road.
His spell at Malaga saw him record nine La Liga appearances and rack up one assist.
The club was relegated from the Spanish top flight at the end of 2017/18.
Villa are expecting a busy final day before the transfer window closes tonight, as they are also looking at signing highly-rated midfielder John McGinn from Scottish Premier League side Hibernian.
Should Success join Villa he will further boost the ranks of African players at the Birmingham club, as they already boast Ghanaian Albert Adomah, Ivorian Jonathan Kodjia and Egyptian Ahmed Elmohamady.
