Ishaku mourns as another serving Commissioner dies in Taraba

Taraba state Governor, Arc. Darius  Ishaku, on Friday expressed sadness over the death of Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Mr. Naphtali Kefas.

He said the demise of Kefas has robbed the state of the services of a patriotic and hard working gentleman.

Kefas is the second serving commissioner to have died after the Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Makus Senlo, died in a Yola hospital about a month ago.

Ishaku in a press statement signed by his special adviser on media and publicity, Mr Bala Dan Abu, and a copy made available to Blueprint in Jalingo, the state capital condoled with the chairman, the people of Wukari local government council, and the family of the late commissioner who died on Thursday after a brief illness.

The statement described the late commissioner as very gentle and compassionate, and that his personal features necessitated his posting to the ministry of poverty alleviation to help implement government’s pragmatic programme of giving hope and succour to the poor and the needy.

The statement noted that Ishaku prayed God to give the people of Wukari LGA and members of the immediate family of the late commissioner the fortitude to bear this loss.

Gov Ishaku also prayed for the repose of the soul of Naphtali Kefas.
