Ishaku working quietly to make Taraba peaceful – Perm Sec

The permanent secretary, Taraba state Bureau for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Bello Yerro Sunday said the administration of governor Darius  Ishaku since  assumption of office in 2015 had worked quietly to ensure that the state is peaceful.

Yero, who stated this in Jalingo while answering questions from journalists said the present administration is making concerted effort to resolve the lingering problems facing the state.

He noted that all Tarabans, irrespective of  religious and tribal differences has a major role to play to ensure that peace reign in the state.

He stressed that traditional rulers in the state must also use the privilege of their stools to ensure that peace reigns among the inhabitants of their respective domains.

He maintained that Tarabans must  not allow themselves to be pushed into hating one another by the enemies of the state.

“I am appealing to all of us in Taraba to effectively support governor Ishaku’s quest to ensure that peace reign irrespective of tribe, faith or socio-economic status”he said.  

According to him, religious  and traditional leaders must do their best to provide requisite leadership and remain a beacon of hope for all so that the developmental stride of governor Ishaku would continue unfinished.

He explained that the need for peaceful coexistence is very important at this time that the state is facing insecurity issues.

He described governor Ishaku  as a detribalised son of the state, stressing that all Tarabans must  emulate Ishaku’s life style  and always work towards a united and peaceful Taraba state.
