The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned All Progressive Congress (APC) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to declare a doctored result for Isoko Federal Constituency in favour of APC Candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, at all cost during the up coming election.
The PDP state publicity secretary Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza who stated this in statement said “they received shocking and impeccable information of a martial directive from the high command of the APC to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to do everything possible, both legitimate and illegitimate, legal and illegal, covert and dubious, crooked and manipulative, to ensure that they deliver victory to the APC Candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, at all cost, during the Saturday, February 16, 2019 National Assembly election in Isoko land.”
According to him, “We want to state loud and clear and with unflinching authority, that the Delta State PDP, has no doubts whatsoever that this information is authentic and incontrovertible and we hereby use this medium to caution INEC to be extremely careful and conduct a free, fair, transparent and credible election”.
He said, ” we advise the electoral umpire to desist from any untoward acts that may potentially damage it’s credibility as an independent conductor and engender an avoidable conflict that can heat up the Isoko nation dangerously and explode into a crisis that may jeopardise the democratic process and uncontrollably.
“Let’s us confirm categorically that our candidate, the Rt. Hon Leo Okuweh Ogor, is a fearless, courageous and distinguished member of the Federal House of Representative, who has built an outstanding reputation as one of the pillars of Nigeria’s democracy and given the Isoko nation quality representation over the years.
Meanwhile the Presidential spokesman of All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign council in Delta state, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh said his party will cut off PDP’s hands and legs of election rigging in the forthcoming elections
Dr. Cairo who stated this in Asaba said “PDP has planned to rig this election, but we will not allow them to perpetrate any form of rigging. This last minute propaganda by the PDP is being deployed to discredit Saturday polls but we are happy Nigerians are not buying into their cheap propaganda”
“PDP is known for rigging but if they pull their legs and hands of rigging, we APC is ready to cut them off. We have informed all the security agencies about their evil plan to rig the election.”
“The party members have resolved to put their differences aside and work for the victory of the party at all levels. So, we now have confidence and all it takes to win the elections”
He noted that APC in the state has settled their internal crisis and would work together to deliver all their candidates.
Dr. Ojougboh commended Ex-Militants for endorsing President Mohammadu Buhari who has performed excellently well and deserves another term.
He said the PDP is crying woof because Isoko people have collectively endorsed the candidate of APC, Mr. Joel Onowakpor for Isoko federal constituency.”Isoko has made a choice knowing that the man who is there has is not physically strong to hold public office”
